Friday Night End Zone
Football themed animated promotion for KKTV Channel 11 News.
3D Design
Motion Design

This project was a dynamic promotional segment for “Friday Night End Zone,” a weekly highlight show of local high-school football on KKTV Channel 11. My role encompassed full production from concept through execution.
Objectives
Establish a cinematic, sports-broadcast look that energizes and elevates local-school football coverage.
Create custom 3D assets (Jumbotron) that feel premium yet align with the station’s brand and local-sports culture.
Seamlessly integrate 3D animation with live-action high-school football footage, motion graphics, music and voice-over to produce a cohesive promo.
Deliver a final product ready for broadcast and digital channels (on-air, social, web).
Approach & Process
Concept & 3D modelling (Maxon Cinema 4D):
Began with a stadium Jumbotron concept to ground the promo in that sports-arena feel.
Applied lighting, textures, and camera animation to deliver cinematic depth, movement, and realism.
Motion graphics & compositing (Adobe After Effects):
Imported the rendered 3D sequences into After Effects for additional layering: kinetic text, channel branding, transitions.
Incorporated live-action high-school football footage to ground the 3D world in actual local sport context.
Timed the motion graphics with music and voice-over to maximize impact and viewer engagement.
Final integration & delivery:
Built the final edit with broadcast-safe color correction, sound design and timing suitable for both TV and digital/social use.
Ensured all assets deliverables (video formats, 3D scene stills, brand-compliant motion graphics) were supplied to the station for immediate use.
Key Achievements & Value
Blended 3D and real footage so that the motion-design looks both polished and rooted in local story (high-school football).
Delivered a broadcast-ready product that aligns with the channel’s expectations and branding, enabling reuse across platforms (on-air, web, social).
The result: elevated brand perception of the “Friday Night End Zone” segment, improved viewer engagement, and a repeatable template for future promos.
