Over more than a decade working with automotive-brand and dealership clients, I specialised in creating high-impact motion-design pieces and video promos that drive engagement, boost brand awareness and convert viewers into buyers.
The Project Challenge
Automotive dealerships operate in a competitive landscape where every second of audience attention counts. The goal: create video promos and motion graphics that stand out visually, communicate offers clearly, and scale across multiple models, campaigns, and digital platforms. Clients such as JVS Media and Blue Gorilla approached me to turn hundreds of commercial scripts, product shots and brand assets into motion-rich, polished deliverables under tight deadlines.
My Approach
Platform-agnostic design – I developed motion-design compositions ready for broadcast, social media (short-form), in-showroom displays and web-preroll.
Tool-fluent workflow – Using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro as primary tools, with supporting design work in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, I handled motion-graphics, edit cuts, colour-grading, typography animation, and compositing of product imagery.
Scalable creative system – I created a motion-design template library (lower-thirds, transitions, model reveal animations, branding stings) so each promo could be customised but remain on-brand, reducing turnaround time while maintaining quality.
Engagement-driven storyboarding – I focused on dynamic opening sequences, clear value proposition messaging (e.g., “Lease from $…”), and strong call-to-action visuals, to drive viewer retention and conversion.
Outcome & Value Delivered
Delivered hundreds of dealership promos for regional and national automotive campaigns — significantly expanding the client’s visual library.
Improved efficiency: the motion-template library reduced average turnaround time by ~30 % compared to custom-built animations from scratch.
Enhanced brand consistency: despite multiple promotions across different models and markets, each maintained a cohesive, premium look aligned with brand standards.
Cross-platform reach: videos designed for social and web performed strongly, extending beyond showroom screens to digital channels and mobile viewership.
